Jasmine Burriss

Jasmine Burriss, a native of Upper Marlboro, MD, is a distinguished alumna of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography. Her academic journey began at Suitland High School in Forestville, MD, where she honed her craft within the esteemed Visual and Performing Arts program. Throughout her time at VCU, Jasmine showcased her talent in numerous student and faculty productions, demonstrating her proficiency and dedication to her craft. She has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed dance luminaries including Doug Varone, Nathan Trice, Dawn Marie Bazemore, Johnnie Mercer, and Christopher Huggins, enriching her artistic repertoire and fostering professional growth. With an illustrious career spanning various dance studios across the DMV area, Jasmine takes particular pride in her current role as Creative Director at Inspire Dance Studio. Here, she continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers, sharing her passion and expertise with her students.
