Jordan Leigh Daugherty

Jordan Daugherty, from Louisville, Kentucky, began her dance training at Ellen’s School of Dance, Youth Performing Arts School, and The Louisville Ballet School. She graduated cum laude from George Mason University with a BFA in Dance and later earned an M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education. Jordan has performed works by renowned choreographers such as Twyla Tharp, David Parsons, Ohad Naharin, Lula Washington, and Mark Morris, with her choreography showcased at The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. She danced with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Second Company for three seasons and has worked with Cincinnati Black Theatre Company, Rockville Musical Theatre, and DC Contemporary Dance Theatre. Currently, Jordan is a dance teacher at a DC Public Charter School and a freelance artist and choreographer. Recognized on the Steve Harvey Show for her dedication to students, she is grateful for her family and friends' support.
