Tyler Ross
Tyler Ross is a movement artist, choreographer, and dance instructor from PG County, MD, with a BFA in Dance Education from Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance. At Temple, she was an active member of D2D: Dare to Dance, serving as Event Coordinator and President. Tyler has been part of several prestigious dance groups, including Urban Artistry, Bmore Houseful, Laura Edwards Dance Company (LED), MOTUS Company, Ladies of Redemption, MoDance Work, and Kariamu & Company: Traditions. She held her M’Singha Wuti Instructor certification in the Umfundalai African Dance Technique from 2016 to 2024 and will receive her Professional Certification in June 2024, being among the last generation to study directly under Dr. Kariamu Welsh. As a dedicated dance educator, Tyler has taught at institutions such as the Dance Institute of Washington and the Washington Ballet. Specializing in Black Dance and African Diasporas, she promotes street dance culture through teaching Hip Hop and House dance classes, participating in battles, and performing various dance techniques across the USA.
